What to Expect

Reaching out for therapy is a big step, and I want the process to feel as smooth and supportive as possible. Here’s what you can expect:

  1. Initial Contact – Once you email me, I’ll respond with warmth and information to answer your questions and schedule a free 15-minute consultation call.

  2. Consultation Call – During this call, we’ll talk briefly about what brings you to therapy, what you’re looking for, and how I can best support you. This is also a time for you to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit. If we determine we are a good fit, we will move forward. If we determine on this call that I am not the right fit or you would benefit from a different provider with different specialties to meet your needs, I will refer you to someone just right for you!

  3. Insurance or Self-Pay – If you’d like to use insurance, we’ll review your options together and get you set up (at no cost to you) with my with insurance management business associate, Headway. If you prefer private pay, I’ll explain how that process works too.

  4. Getting Set Up – If you decide to move forward, I’ll add you to my secure practice management software, where you’ll have your own private client portal.

  5. Intake Paperwork – Before our first session, you’ll complete some paperwork online. This helps me learn more about you and ensures we cover everything needed for your care.

  6. First Session – In our first full session, we’ll spend time exploring your history, current concerns, and goals. Together, we’ll discuss any relevant diagnoses and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

  7. Ongoing Therapy – From there, we’ll begin regular sessions where we work collaboratively toward your goals. Therapy is a process, and I’ll walk alongside you—celebrating progress, addressing challenges, and adjusting our approach as needed.
